Carry Over and Move a Task

When a task is not completed by the end of the day, you can carry it over or move it to continue working on it another day.

Carry Over to Tomorrow

The Carry over to tomorrow option creates a new task for the next business day with the same characteristics (name, project, milestone). The logged time resets to zero on the new task.

The two tasks are linked:

• A carry-over icon (looping arrows, in orange) appears next to the name of each task in the chain — including the very first task
• A cumulative badge displays the total time and number of days in the chain (for example: "Σ 5h30 (3 days)")
• Navigation links appear below the project, allowing you to jump directly to the parent task date ("← Mon 23 Feb") or child task date ("Tue 25 Feb →") with a single click

Conditions

• The task must not be completed
• The project must be active (not being closed)
• The task must not have already been carried over

Carry Over to a Date

The Carry over to a date... option opens a date picker. You can choose any date today or in the future. A new task is created on the chosen date with zero time, and the two tasks are linked in a carry-over chain with the same visual indicators (icon, cumulative badge, navigation links).

Conditions

The same conditions as "Carry over to tomorrow" apply:

• The task must not be completed
• The project must be active (not being closed)
• The task must not have already been carried over
• The chosen date must be today or later

Move to Tomorrow

The Move to tomorrow option moves the task as-is (with its logged time) to the next business day. Unlike carry-over, no new task is created.

Move to a Date

The Move to a date... option opens a date picker. You can choose any date today or in the future. The task is moved with all its content.
