Yes, you can change your plan at any time, whether you want to upgrade or downgrade. Mataee does not impose any minimum commitment period.
How to change your plan
- Go to Settings > Subscription.
- View the available plans.
- Select the new plan you want.
- Confirm the change.
The change takes effect immediately. You instantly gain access to the features of your new plan.
Automatic proration
When you change plans during a billing period, Mataee automatically calculates the difference:
- When upgrading (moving to a higher plan): only the difference between the two plans is charged for the remaining period. You don't pay twice.
- When downgrading (moving to a lower plan): the remaining balance is credited to your account and deducted from future invoices.
This proration system ensures you only pay for what you actually use.
Switching from monthly to annual (and vice versa)
You can also switch between monthly and annual billing. Moving to annual billing gives you two months free. The change takes effect at the next billing date.
Commitment by billing type
With a monthly plan, there is no commitment: you are free to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time.
With an annual plan, the commitment is firm for 12 months from the date of subscription. Cancellation can be requested at any time but only takes effect on the anniversary date. No early refund is provided.
In both cases, if you cancel, you retain access to your account until the end of the already-paid period. Your data remains accessible and exportable.
